A few things I’d like to say

1.       Three years ago, you changed my life forever. You’ve become a part of me, and I wouldn’t be who I am today if it wasn’t for you.

2.       You have an answer for everything and I would be lost without you. I know you’ll do great things someday, and I can’t wait to see what they are.

3.       You are one of the loveliest souls I have ever met. Please pursue your dreams, because I know they’ll come true.

4.       Meow <3

5.       What do you want from me?

6.       You are one of the most interesting people I’ve ever met! You always brighten my day and I don’t know what I’m going to do when you’re not around! I cannot wait to get married and have four kids and live in Switzerland.

7.       You are one of the most adorable people I have ever met. You have such a good heart and you fill my life with so much joy. Thank you for being my friend.

8.       You are so handsome and are one of the few gentlemen left in this world. Please never lose that!

9.       I’m sorry our friendship sort of fell out. I’m my fault, I know, and hopefully one day we can restore it.

10.   I’m so glad that we’re becoming closer. I love you so much and you are growing up to be such a good person. Please continue on the path you’re traveling on, because I have no doubt it will lead you to a wonderful life.

11.   You are so down to earth and genuine. I’m glad we’ve become friends.

12.   Lately I feel as if we’ve been drifting apart, and I’m pretty sure it’s my fault, but hopefully it will pass. You were one of my first friends here and I hope we continue to be friends well after we graduate! I love you.

13.   Even though we hardly ever talk anymore, you should know I still think of you from time to time. I hope things work out for you and that you find peace and happiness in your life.

14.   I wish I knew more about you. Maybe someday we’ll meet again and I’ll have the courage to formally introduce myself.

15.   I never asked you out for coffee or something and I really should have.

16.   You are so full of life and I love you for that. We haven’t seen each other in a few years, but I’m sure that if/when we ever see each other again, it will be as if you never moved away.

17.   Thank you for being one of the best people I know. You are beautiful and smart and I know you’ll be a great writer someday.

18.   I wish we were closer friends. You are so pretty and interesting and strange.

19.   Where the hell did you disappear off to? Don’t you realize that the balance of the world will be thrown off if I don’t receive one of your hugs on a semi-annual basis??

20.   I wonder what would life would have been like if you hadn’t have moved away. I bet we really could have been something.

Here’s a little something I’d like to call a poem:

Waterloo. A town of dreamers.
Correction, a dreamer.
A tall youth squirms in his seat,
Not wanting to join the other
Chess people
Sitting quietly in their pews,
Listening to the word of God.

No, this young man
With his honeycomb hair
Dreams of a bigger world;
One outside of these Sunday streets,
Where pink domes sit atop lady heads,
And the bees ant
agonize dew covered lilies.

Faithful romantic,
His world consists of steel arcs
And neon signs.
Brilliant baubles
That beckon in the night,
Promising women draped in pearls
With blood red lips,
And curves like mild hills.
This vision of his, this
Rose colored apparition

Evaporates.
Grey hands reach through the smoke
To pull him back into reality.
The straw hats come back into focus
And the sounds of chess people
Become audible again.

One of the best quotes

I’ve ever heard a teacher say.

“This information will be the bullets that you need to shoot the IB test with. You need to bring your knowledge gun over there and shoot them with these fact bullets.”

Love is an act of will. You have to keep on living it. Each day, each moment, each second. It has to exist without conditions. It has to be carried, nurtured and suffered for. You love, and that’s it.
Matty from Consider the Lily, written by Elizabeth Buchan.
Life is about broken hearts and disappointment. Everyone has to deal with those from time to time. But with a bit of luck, you come out stronger.
Daisy from Consider the Lily written by Elizabeth Buchan

Summer Days

IT’S FINALLY HERE!!!!!!!!! C:

I finally escaped from hell a.k.a. Lamar High School. I mean, I guess it’s not all THAT bad, but when you’re an IBDC junior, it may as well be Satan’s Lair what with all the IB testing, English orals/papers, TOK orals/papers, and finals on top of all of that. But now I get to finally relax, GET SOME SLEEP, and just do what I was supposed to be doing all along: enjoying life.

It’s only been a week and not much has happened, but I’m totally fine with that. So far I’ve been to 2 graduations (Lamar’s because I was in the orchestra, and Bowie’s because my cousin was graduating), a movie (UP which was super cute!), and a lunch date at Niko Niko’s (delicious). However, this week will probably be the busiest yet:

Tuesday: Light Painting Party
Wednesday: Lunch w/Raegan
Thursday: Lunch w/Amy
Friday: Lunch & a movie/sleepover with Paige
Saturday: Isabelle’s dance show
Sunday: Lunch and a trip to the zoo w/Kane and Wilma

IT’S GOING TO BE THE FUNNEST WEEK EVER! I’ll definatly be broke by the time this is all over, but it will totally be worth it.

So how’s your summer going?

Poetry

can be so powerful. This is perhaps one of my new favorites: A Love Song by William Carlos Williams What have I to say to you When we shall meet? Yet— I lie here thinking of you. The stain of love Is upon the world. Yellow, yellow, yellow, It eats into the leaves, Smears with saffron The horned branches that lean Heavily Against a smooth purple sky. There is no light— Only a honey-thick stain That drips from leaf to leaf And limb to limb Spoiling the colours Of the whole world. I am alone. The weight of love Has buoyed me up Till my head Knocks against the sky. See me! My hair is dripping with nectar— Starlings carry it On their black wings. See, at last My arms and my hands Are lying idle. How can I tell If I shall ever love you again As I do now?

Dreaming with a Broken Heart

First off, John Mayer and Norah Jones are amazing. They make me feel so much better :)

Friday, April 10th will probably be the most memorable day of this year (besides my 17th birthday, which was probably the happiest day of my life thus far). Not because something incredibly awesome happened (quite the contrary) but because I think I grew a little as a person, even though my heart got cracked in the process. On Friday, April 10th around 7 ‘o clock in the evening, my boyfriend of 4 1/2 months and I ended our relationship.

Even though 4 1/2 months is almost nothing in adult time, in teen time it’s pretty darn long. He was honestly the first real boyfriend I’ve had. He was my first kiss in the rain, my first tea date, and my first New Years Kiss. He was the first boy to be formally introduced to my family as “my boyfriend” and he was my first real Valentine. He was the first boy I can honestly say I fell in love with.

They say that when your heart breaks, it grows back a few times bigger and stronger.. So far it’s only beginning to mend. I don’t blame him for anything of course, in fact, I want to thank him. He taught me how to open up to someone completely and honestly, and how share your life with them. He taught me how to play Sudoku, how to properly eat a scone with jam, and a technique on how to stay awake in class. He introduced me to new music and even better movies and online shorts.

So here’s to you, my darling. The one who taught me what it is to love.
