A few things I'd like to say
1.       Three years ago, you changed my life forever. You’ve become a part of me, and I wouldn’t be who I am today if it wasn’t for you. 2.       You have an answer for everything and I would be lost without you. I know you’ll do great things someday, and I can’t wait to see what they are. 3.       You are one of the loveliest souls I have ever met. Please pursue your dreams, because I know...

Here's a little something I'd like to call a poem:
Waterloo. A town of dreamers. Correction, a dreamer. A tall youth squirms in his seat, Not wanting to join the other Chess people Sitting quietly in their pews, Listening to the word of God.  No, this young man With his honeycomb hair Dreams of a bigger world; One outside of these Sunday streets, Where pink domes sit atop lady heads, And the bees ant agonize dew covered lilies. Faithful...

One of the best quotes
I’ve ever heard a teacher say. “This information will be the bullets that you need to shoot the IB test with. You need to bring your knowledge gun over there and shoot them with these fact bullets.”                                                                                 -Mister Doctor

Summer Days
IT’S FINALLY HERE!!!!!!!!! C: I finally escaped from hell a.k.a. Lamar High School. I mean, I guess it’s not all THAT bad, but when you’re an IBDC junior, it may as well be Satan’s Lair what with all the IB testing, English orals/papers, TOK orals/papers, and finals on top of all of that. But now I get to finally relax, GET SOME SLEEP, and just do what I was supposed to be...

Poetry
can be so powerful. This is perhaps one of my new favorites: A Love Song by William Carlos Williams What have I to say to you When we shall meet? Yet— I lie here thinking of you. The stain of love Is upon the world. Yellow, yellow, yellow, It eats into the leaves, Smears with saffron The horned branches that lean Heavily Against a smooth purple sky. There is no light— Only a honey-thick...

Dreaming with a Broken Heart
First off, John Mayer and Norah Jones are amazing. They make me feel so much better :) Friday, April 10th will probably be the most memorable day of this year (besides my 17th birthday, which was probably the happiest day of my life thus far). Not because something incredibly awesome happened (quite the contrary) but because I think I grew a little as a person, even though my heart got cracked in...

Never in my life have I been so glad to be Catholic. This school week will only be four days because we have a holiday on Friday since it’s Good Friday. Honestly, if we still had to go to school on Friday, I most definatly would have taken a personal health day.. How in the world did this happen? How did I come to loathe school so much? Now I’m always tired, never seem to have time...

La Primera Carta
You know what this reminds me of? A xanga. Do you remember those? They were HUGEEE in 8th grade (roughly 3 years ago). Then it switched to Myspace. Then Facebook. And now we have Tumblrs! Funny how that all worked out. I also can’t help comparing this to Extras, the 4th book in the Uglies series by Scott Westerfeld. The society he creates is one that is entirely based upon...
